We're in iTunes!

Man, it's so surreal to see the podcast in iTunes! I hope evryone enjoys it. Make sure you tell your friends... send them a link and encourage them to join in and keep up a daily devotion. Subscribing to the podcast in iTunes might be just the thing that will help many youth to do a daily devotion, since its automatically downloaded. It might help remind everyone about devotions for the day... at least that's what I hope!
New to the site?
Welcome! Let me introduce myself. My name is Sam, I am a Youth Director in Florida. One of the most effective ways I've found to stay close to Jesus Christ is by spending some time with him each day in prayer and Bible study. With this in mind, I've always wanted a way to encourage youth (and older Christians as well) to keep up a daily devotion.
Well, with the advent of blogging, I started to see an easy way to do just that. However, it wasn't perfect until podcasting hit it big. Now I can call in each day and do the devotion, and you can get it with your podcasting software (or hopefully iTunes in the future), or just listen online at this site.
So here's how it works. It's nothing fancy... I just do my devotions as usual each morning, and then I call in and leave an audio clip about it. We'll go chapter by chapter, so you can read the chapter for the day, then listen in to my comments to see what the Lord has shown me for that chapter. I encourage you as well to leave your insights in the comments section after each post so we can learn something from what you received from the passage.
So that's it. I'll start with Matthew Chapter 1. The next post after this will be about that chapter, then I'll remind you to read Matthew chapter 2 for the next day.
So, bookmark this site, subscribe to the RSS feed, subscribe to the podcast, and tell your friends! The more we have doing this, the more support we'll have for each other, and the easier it will be to keep up a daily devotion!
I hope to see some devoted youth as a result!
